Last week, a policewoman was helping with the victims of the Earthquake in China. She helped by doing something incredible! This policewoman just had her own baby, and because she is breastfeeding and saw a need, she volunteered to breastfeed 8 babies that were suffering from the earthquake. There were 3 women who were too traumatized to breastfeed because they were unable to produce milk. She also volunteered to breastfeed 5 orphans that were put into an orphanage that did not have any form of powdered milk to give them.

This speaks volumes about the IMPORTANCE of a “mother’s milk”. What it says is that:
- Mothers under any kind of stress will be less likely to produce quality milk for their nursing baby.
- Powdered milk did not ALWAYS EXIST and if it’s unavailable, then what? It was created to not only supplement, but REPLACE the mother’s milk.
- In the “old times” they must have done the same! As in, allowing another woman to breastfeed their baby when they were unable to do so
Mother’s who are lactating, YOU ARE OF IMMEASURABLE VALUE to this world!
Many natural disasters are occurring in these days. Will you be ready to “lend your breasts to the cause” if duty calls? I know I will
